Programmable Voice, Powered by Signal House

The Voice platform adds programmable calling, in-browser WebRTC softphones, SIP trunking, and call analytics to your account, authenticating with the same bearer token as the rest of the Signal House API.

What is Signal House Voice?

There are two ways to use Voice. Browser calling (WebRTC): register a softphone in the browser with @signalhousellc/sdk/voice-browser and place or receive calls directly from your web app.

Server-side programmable voice: originate and control calls over REST with voice.calls, and pull history and analytics with voice.callLogs and voice.analytics. Every Voice route is served under the /voice base path.

SIP Trunks for Your PBX

Connect your existing PBX to Signal House via SIP trunks for encrypted PSTN calling. Authenticate by a static IP allowlist or by registration with generated credentials; transport is TLS + SRTP, UDP, or TCP.

SIP Endpointas for a Single Device

Endpoints are individual devices — desk phones, softphones, SIP apps — that register to Signal House with a username and password. Signal House generates the credentials, and inbound calls to the number you pick ring that endpoint.

Programmable Voice Profiles

A Programmable Voice Profile groups a set of your numbers under a single inbound call-handling decision, routed through Signal House's own voice servers: forward the call, ring registered softphones, deliver it to a SIP trunk or endpoint, or hand it to your webhook.

Your Webhook Answers the Phone

Point a number at an HTTPS URL you host. Signal House POSTs the call details and executes the SHML (Signal House Markup Language) you return — speaking text, collecting digits, recording, bridging, or forwarding — with request shapes that mirror TwiML.

Fraud Protection Is a Setting, Not a Support Ticket

Global Voice Settings hold the account-wide defaults — a maximum spend per minute, allowed calling regions, and E911 — and SIP trunks and Programmable Voice Profiles override them per connection. The From number is checked against your account on every outbound call.

Every Call Logged, Recorded on Request, Scored

Call Logs filter by direction, date range, subgroup, status, and carrier. Recording is a switch on the trunk or profile — both directions, inbound only, or outbound only. Analytics has a voice view, and calls carry a sentiment score labeled Positive, Negative, or Neutral.
